B&B Ter Poele in Avelgem is run by the wife of an antique dealer.  You can see that  here and there  in the interior, for example in the statue in the background.

The two bedrooms and the bathroom, on the first floor, are rather ordinary but tasteful spaces.

Is it a former caretaker's house ?   Or a former coach house ?

In any case, it is quiet, comfortable and cozy.  To sleep there is wonderful and the breakfast is abundant.

Ideal for a shoot, if you pay attention to the steep, narrow stairs.

I had asked Sarah Degraeve to be my model and she did so with style.   I still had to pick her up at the Kortrijk station, with my silver-grey Chrysler PT-cruiser.

She was accompanied by her boyfriend, who also took digital images.  'But he won't interfere', Sarah assured me.

I entered the photo below for my final exam in digital photography, June 2015.

The third-year teacher — 'our' teacher — had said that we could use image editing, but he shouldn't notice anything during the exam.

One of the judges asked, 'That background, did you make it blur in Photoshop ?'   There was no point in denying it, he wouldn't have believed me anyway.  He was probably too experienced for that.

At the end he said it was the best photo out of the twenty I had selected.

I also used the photo below for my final exam.  The rag hanging over the bucket used to be fluorescent yellow.  No way !  The viewer's attention should be focused on Sarah's beautiful legs and not on such a disturbing element.  So I darkened that rag, to a brown-orange.           I didn't mention that intervention myself, but the jury members discussed for quite some time whether that rag was disruptive or not.

That one nipple wasn't originally that 'prominent', but when I showed the photo during class, everyone thought I could let it stick out a bit.

Flemish people, are they not so reserved after all ?
